New and improved
Two weeks ago we had Jakob's 6-month photos taken and he continues to force us to purchase many photos because he's so amazing. That same weekend, thanks to God's unfailing faithfulness, Marc said farewell to his old car and purchased a new (to him) 2006 Ford Fusion -
With the $200 we received from his old car, we purchased a new digital camera to replace the one that was stolen while Marc was in Florida. With it, we have been able to again capture Jakob's many different personality traits:

Last week, we hosted a new church small group at our house and we are excited about how things are progressing. Last weekend, Marc taught the junior high Sunday school class for the first time and this week Kim has parent/teacher conferences.
Also, last weekend Marc's brother revealed some great news! In October, Marc and Nic's parents will have a new grandchild to love. Nic and Lindsey are expecting! More news to come as things progress this year.

THAT IS EXCITING! So a new pair of shoes wouldn't cut it this time...nice ride. I got your voicemail and thought I'd call you on the weekend so we could chat a while...then the weekend came and went. It's always good to hear from you. Our birthdays are approaching...are you feeling older this year? I am.

Yes, I am excited to be driving something new, but it was literally like the last episode of Friends when my old car was towed away. That's cool man, I just wanted to see what you're up to. Are you kidding me? I have felt older every year since I turned 30. Yuck.

Congrats to your Nic & Lindsey!! When is the due date? Relationships are like an octopus with knives and mittens. Sometimes they can be challenging, but when you work through the challenges, it's like getting ready to eat a warm apple pie with a friend. And that's where the mittens come in.
